Future Predictions – Mass Disasters and Personal Power

When we think about something like hurricane Katrina or the tsunamis that often occur in different parts of world, events that cause the death of thousands of people at one time, it is difficult to not believe that we are all just helpless victims of fate and the tides of change. In one swift moment, thousands or more people can die, be forced to move to an entirely new place or experience other kinds of calamities. Where does our sense of personal power come into play when such events happen in the world on a daily basis? The very nature of our insurance industry is based upon how much we will pay to have some peace of mind about the negative possibilities that we could experience.
The recent movie, The Secret, was all about our power to create our realities. How does this philosophy jive in a world where seemingly anything can happen to anyone at any time? Is there a way to protect ourselves against such disasters? Can a person rise to a place where those sorts of events will not affect them? To find the answer to that we must be willing to take a deeper look at these mass events.
Though I don’t think it has ever really been done, I have thought for a long time about the possibility of doing research in this vein. Imagine interviewing all the people whose lives were touched by a major disaster, such as the one that occurred on 9/11. For the people who died, I would interview all their surviving family members. I would first ask if the person who died had any premonition or future predictions of the disaster or any sense that their death was imminent. Then I would ask whether their life was at such a place where they might have felt they had no real reason to live on, for example, some of these people might have been 52 years of age and have decided on a soul level to check out. Were there any indications of this noticed by those who survived them? I would also ask the survivors what the effects of the death of their loved one had upon them. Were there positive results ultimately from this tragic event?
I believe that if someone dies in a mass event like this, that the individual had a particular reason for being part of it. We may never know the whole story, especially because those that perished are not here to tell their story. In each of these mass events, there were stories of sacrifice for others, of great courage, and I am sure, stories of how those affected came to accept what happened. In other words, for each individual involved, whether it was someone who died or survived, there was a unique perspective, a unique story of how that event was woven into the fabric of their life, and how ultimately it had positive effects upon them.
I may appear to be a Pollyanna about such matters but I can never believe that bad things happen to good people for no reason. I will never relinquish that I am the author of my life. Whenever I seem to be the victim of some event, I adopt the attitude that there is still something that I need to understand about what happened, never that I was the victim. Ultimately I have always found the truth and it is always a loving beautiful one.
I have to take a look at Karma first and foremost. We do not fully understand it. Sometimes Karma is instant and sometimes it spans lifetimes. Some events that occur in this lifetime, actually I would prefer to say most events in this lifetime, were set into motion in a prior existences. We are not usually given the understanding to know the reasons behind all the things that happen to us. This is especially true when we are in our first 45 years of life. I have found that we experience mostly past-life Karma in the first half of life. And perhaps it is for this reason that we are susceptible to the notion that we are victims of a world we never made. Our parents, our childhood, along with all of its major events, all of these are more of an expression of the Karma that we brought with us than of Karma we remember creating. But once we reach Age 45 our lives are more governed by the actions we had when we were younger. Some people, around Age 52, realize the damage they have done and decide to check out in one way or the other. Some of us become bitter in our mid to late life and we spend most of our time running away from the ‘terrible’ things we have done earlier in our life. But still, I do not believe any of us are victims, even to our own Karma. After all, we are the ones who created it, even though we do not remember when.
In mass events I am sure that some of the people who perish do so because of past life Karma. There is no real way to determine it but generally we would consider younger people who perish to fall into this category. As adults many more possibilities open up. Some die to experience what it must be like to make a great sacrifice – perhaps in the time of crisis they gave up their own life to save the life of others. This occurred to one of the teachers in the recent killing spree at Virginia Tech. He could have saved himself but chose to save his students and ended up being killed by the gunman afterwards.
In conclusion it is my contention that in mass events and disasters, each individual is playing out a unique role (you can also find out in your destiny cards through card reading for their own personal growth on a spiritual level. No one is a true victim. It just appears that way on the surface. But I believe that if we took the time to really look into it, and if there was some way for the dead to speak, we would discover that what appeared to be a disaster was actually a blessing for all concerned. After all, it could not have occurred unless it was the will of God. And the God I know always loves.

Understanding the Prophecy of 2012

But soon, very soon, everyone is going to be looking for more information about this Mayan prophesied year of destiny, which many believe to be the end of the Mayan calendar and thus the end of time, as we have known it. Actually, it all began with a discovery that has been known for decades about the culture that invented what is known as the Long Count Calendar. Some believe that the Izapa were the transitional culture between the older Olmec civilization and the emerging Maya; others believe the Izapa were the Olmecs.
For almost a thousand years the Izapa recorded the Long Count Calendar on monuments and ceramic vessels. Most of the dates refer to local, mundane events, like the crowning of a specific king. However, some of the Long Count monuments refer to mythological events that occurred at the beginning of the current “World Age” that we are living in and which is soon coming to an end. Scholars have figured out how the Long Count Calendar correlates with our own Gregorian calendar (using a lot of arithmetic), so we know that the legendary time of the beginning of our present World Age-when all the values were set to zero-occurred on August 11, 3114 BC. And using a complex system of Mayan Baktuns (measurements of time), we can calculate when their calendar reaches a new zero point – basically, every 13 Baktuns, or every 5,125 years the Long Count resets to zero – the calculated time when our present World Age ends and a new cycle of time commences.
Creation, Fall, and Resurrection
Several Creation monuments describe events that occurred in 3114 BC. The texts associated with these Creation monuments reports that “creation happens at the Black Hole,” at “the Crossroads,” and “the image” will appear in the sky.
The renowned researcher and author Linda Schele (in Freidel, Schele, and Parker’s Maya Cosmos) wrote: “I realized that every major image from Maya cosmic symbolism was probably a map of the sky. [The] patterns in the Milky Way and the constellations were directly related to the Maya vision of Creation.” Her realization opened the door to understanding the Izapan/Mayan cosmology and prophecy.

In order to grasp the Mayan message, we need to understand a little about how they saw the sky and how events in the sky indicated times of death, rebirth, and the passage of time for souls living in this galaxy and in this solar system.
The Milky Way is their major image in the sky. As we know, we live on the outskirts of our galaxy and the Milky Way is the dense cluster of stars when looking toward the center of our galaxy. It appears as a long strip of stars in the sky above us. For the Maya, the rising, passing, and descending of the Milky Way in the sky marked major points in the cycle of time. Also, parts of the Milky Way and other stars prominent in our sky have specific meaning to our lives and the history of humanity and the heavenly realms, the realms of the gods.
To the Maya, the Milky Way’s major features and the changes in its position and shape during the night reveal our origin, passage, and destiny. They are the Tree of Life; the Celestial Crocodile that gnaws at the Tree of Life; the Cosmic Canoe of the “Paddler gods” that follows after the Crocodile; the “lying down sky,” or Black Dream Place; and seven stars in the Big Dipper, representing the egocentric Seven Macaw, who attempted to take the place of the Sun.
Simplified, the heaven passage tells the story of the initial fall of life’s goodness at sunset, followed by the rise of egoism and self-seeking, which brought the rise of dangerous lower urges that crawl on their belly (as the cursed serpent in the Garden of Eden) and attack the attempts of life to resurrect, to rise anew, reborn. Fortunately, these dark influences are driven off by the higher ideals and the will to do good again. Eventually life is reborn and rises on a new dawn. That new dawn begins December 21, 2012, the Winter Solstice.

He is portrayed on a ceramic called Vessel of the Seven Lords, which contains the date 3114 BC, the beginning of our present 13-Baktun cycle, the one that ends in 2012. This Age is called the Age of Movement, or Change. And there certainly has been much change during this period in the world and in individual lives.

A recent translation of a text from Tortuguero, a Classic Maya site north of Palenque, explicitly points to the date December 21, 2012. Translated by Mayan epigrapher David Stuart, the legible part of the text reads: “At the end of 13 Baktuns, on 4 Ahau 3 Kankin, 13.0.0.0.0; something occurs when Bolon Yokte descends.” The verb glyph describing what happens is effaced, so it is replaced with the word something, but the creation lord Bolon Yokte is depicted. Since we know what Bolon Yokte represents, we may assume that this means that 2012 was thought of by the Maya as a creation or recreation of the world, likely during a time of war, conflict, and dominance of the Underworld and the Lords of the Underworld. Bolon Yokte represents all of these qualities.
As we can see, the end of the Mayan Calendar and the Age of Movement is simply the end of an Age. And, important to us, it marks the beginning of the next cycle of rebirth, renewal, and resurrection to even higher levels of enlightenment and understanding.

The Sun Lord rises through the Dark Rift in the Milky Way, located between Sagittarius and Scorpio. Scorpio is depicted near the base of the Tree of Life in Mayan illustrations. Cayce is informing us that in a previous time cycle, humanity had a level of consciousness and relationship with the Creative Forces that allowed us to live at higher levels of material, mental, and spiritual activity in the Earth and beyond. Unfortunately, we misused this consciousness and the power that came with the close relationship to the Forces. This misuse brought on the destruction of our great cultures and a long, karmic soul journey through the pain and confusion that resulted from our selfishness and self-centered focus on our will without regard for the will of the Creator and others. Now, as the cycles come around again, we are nearing a time when the level of consciousness and relationship with the Creative Forces will allow us once again to regain these powers. How will we use them this time?
Before we despair that humankind is going to misuse these again, let’s remember that many, many souls and even the Logos, the Word, have come into materiality and continue to come to help prepare the way for rebirth and resurrection. We overestimate the power of the world and its leaders. The unseen, heavenly forces have greater power and will overcome the world’s darkness and selfishness, breaking through with a light that will transform this realm for a thousand years, when all evil and temptation will be bound and a golden age will reign. The biblical book of the Revelation conveys this prophecy: “I saw an angel coming down out of heaven, having the key of the abyss and a great chain in his hand. He seized the dragon, the old serpent, which is the devil and Satan, who deceives the whole inhabited earth, and bound him for a thousand years.” (Rev. 20:2)
Of course, souls in the world must help lift humanity to higher levels of understanding, love, and spirituality.

An excellent prophetic word will be anchored on these truths, operate out of these truths and bring people into an experience with these truths. If you lose that focus your prophetic words can easily drift into sensationalism, speculation and fantasy.
Demonstrating excellence in the prophetic gift also means you will encourage, instruct and comfort people. Your word will encourage them to seek after God and His kingdom and it will instruct them in developing spiritual maturity. It will also comfort them in the context of their journey with God in a very troubled world.
Prophecy may not but often does reveal future events. This is probably what most people equate prophecy with but it is only one aspect of this supernatural gift. Wisdom and caution is needed here. The down side of the predictive element is that people can easily become distracted from God and attracted to the prediction or the one giving it. Therefore, you need to ask the Holy Spirit to give you wisdom in what and how you share predictions about future events. I believe God is releasing many predictive words over the nations in this season. These predictions always carry a promise. Even if the prediction forecasts some calamity, God will provide room for mercy and a change of plans, if people will turn to Him in prayer and away from their evil behaviour. Again it bears repeating that the prophet must know the heart of God even in predicting calamities. God has eternity in mind and if all else fails to get the attention of mankind, He prefers to shake them up so they get serious about their eternal well being rather than seeing them go into eternal torment. His love reaches out even in judgement. Judgement will come upon sin but God may choose to use desperate circumstances when necessary, to bring men back to the reality of how short this life is in comparison to eternity. If they fail to follow after Him by putting their trust in Jesus as Lord and Saviour, then they have chosen eternal separation from God by default.
In summary, excellence in prophecy means you as a prophet will speak with love and mercy; not in anger or harshness. Your prophetic messages will also encourage, instruct and comfort people. You may call this a prophetic party, consultation, focus or forum. What happens in this dynamic setting is an increased prophetic release of supernatural power. There are several reasons for this increased activity and I will share some thoughts about why and how you can prepare the setting.
The positive benefits of group meetings is that there is greater accountability within a group setting. There is also an increased prophetic resource pool and greater spiritual focus when the group comes together for this purpose. There is also increased sensitivity and receptive abilities collectively so the benefits outweigh the negatives. The setting usually is very encouraging and often becomes very spontaneous as each participant surfs on the others prophetic releases into deeper and deeper prophetic realms.
Here’s how you can initiate a prophetic forum. Invite some prophetic people you know to a meeting for the purpose of having a joint prophetic experience or to pursue a specific theme. If you feel some explanation or teaching needs to be done then do it through a print out or prep session. The actual prophetic meeting should be focused on accessing the prophetic realm not on prep lessons. You can be the leader of that session or arrange by consent for one of the invited members to take the leadership role for the upcoming session. This leader would serve the group as a group facilitator. You can take turns at this position so that everyone has the opportunity but use some discretion here because you may have a range from novice up to seasoned people there. You should also choose a recorder or scribe for the session who will take notes on what each person receives. Choose some soft instrumental music to set the tone and then encourage each participant to silently wait in a receptive mode. Begin the session by inviting the Holy Spirit to communicate with each person and then wait in this receptive mode.
For first sessions it may be wise to ask each person to spend twenty minutes waiting and then at the end of the twenty minutes the facilitator should ask each person to write down privately what they received or experienced. The facilitator can then ask each person to share what they wrote down. It is important that the facilitator allow each person to share what they experienced. If some don’t receive a word, picture, or images not to worry. As people spend time focused some of what is shared will begin to collectively form a message or story board. The facilitator can at this point summarize but should try to let the prophetic messages be interpreted on their own merit. After the group dynamics begin to gel you can open up the twenty minute session to open commentary as each experiences prophetic downloads. This can become very fluid and create a powerful release as each member moves forward into deeper prophetic realms.
Just a closing word on accountability. When you set the prophetic stage in a group setting encourage mutual responsibility among the participants. Kindness, honesty and encouragement being the motivation for evaluating the prophetic will enhance the experience and keep the group within truth not deception. Greater Light will Triumph over Darkness.
As we wrap up another year and steady ourselves for the New Year there are some significant events that will impact the world we live in. The world you live in may be uncertain but you can have confidence as you step into another year because God remains a rock solid foundation for all that will trust in Him. The degree to which you do this will have a great impact on what your journey will be like as 2009 unfolds before you. This is what I hear the Holy Spirit saying for 2009.
There will be opportunities financially for many to gain back what may have been lost. Buy low and sell high. There will be decisions offered to you that will be sent of God. Prayerfully, look to see what the Lord is providing by way of opportunity this year.
Continued unrest in the economy of the nations will also bring prosperity to those who will invest. If you follow the leading of the Holy Spirit you will know when to invest and when to sell. The doors of opportunity will open wide for Sons and Daughters of God to fill important positions in places of influence and power.
Pacific Rim nations will encounter several major earthquakes this year. These will shake the confidence of those who trust in generational gods. God is offering true redemption and knowledge of His Son Jesus to the Asian people groups. There will be substantial gains in economic growth and markets there however. Other world markets will benefit from this resurgence.
This year will see an increase of Supernatural works of God in the earth.
The things ordained by God will flourish.
The Supernatural works of the Holy Spirit will flourish.
Restoration, Salvation, Deliverance and Harvest will increase Supernatural Healing and Miracles will increase. Supernatural Events – Heaven coming into Earth will increase because God has made the declaration. ?
There will be new outpourings of the Glory and Presence of God that will occur through the earth. England, Ireland, Canada, Korea, United States, Eastern Europe and Africa will experience remarkable moves of God’s Presence in His people. South America will see a reawakening of revival in Brazil, Argentina and Peru. A Great harvest of salvation will flow through Eastern Europe and Russia. Israel and the middle east will receive visitations of God’s mercy and grace. Outpourings of God will occur in New Zealand and Australia. North America will continue to experience spiritual shaking so that God can bring the people of Canada and the United States back to a place of honouring God. Prayer will bring many wayward sons and daughters back to the Lord. New doors will open and doors that have been held shut will be forced open by the Spirit of God.
On a more personal level, many of God’s people will experience dreams, visions and prophetic encounters with God. The veils are being removed from the eyes of God’s people. A fresh wave of revelation and wisdom will be released over God’s Prophets in this new year. There will be profound visits for many in the Throne Room of God. God’s people will rise into new levels of Kingdom Authority as they carry His Presence into the earth. Significant dreams will set in motion the destiny of God for those who embrace Him. Angels will visit and bring the atmosphere of Heaven into churches and outpourings. Many Champions of God will rise up to demonstrate the living power and Presence of God. Those involved in the occult will be betrayed by the spirits of divination that they serve. This will cause many to turn in repentance toward God and find freedom in Jesus as Lord and Saviour.
This year will be a time to take spiritual inventory of your life. God is calling you. Your destiny, purpose and fulfillment can be found in walking with Him. God will release grace over loved ones and restore family members this year. One of Pop Music’s come back female vocalists will find a deep personal relationship with God this year. Her broken and empty heart will lead her to Jesus. God is empowering many in Christian Music. Powerful new worship songs will be song. They will release healing, deliverance and restoration into those that hear them. Worship will release tangible atmospheres of God’s Presence. Unusual signs and wonders will continue to demonstrate the power of the resurrected Lord. Spiritual Warriors with hearts filled with love will impact this generation with supernatural power. Holiness as a grace from God will embrace Believers. This is not a return to dead religious rules but a vibrant impartation from God like Isaiah the prophet received. Intercessors with authority will move in precise prophetic declarations and break the yokes over nations. A surge of supernatural power will bring down many strongholds of darkness. Disease and sickness will bow to this demonstration of God’s power. Breakthroughs will occur in genetic and other branches of medical research. Good will prevail over evil. God will triumph over dark and sinister forces this year. It will be a year for hope to flourish. For dreams to be pursued and fulfilled.
