US Needs To Help Fukushima Nuclear Plant NOW

Japanese Diplomat Akio Matsumura has made some shocking comments. He has warned the
Fukushima nuclear disaster is far from over and could in fact turn into an event capable of extinguishing all life on Earth.

Matsumura claims that “if the crippled building of reactor unit 4 – with 1,535 fuel rods in the spent fuel pool 100 feet (30 meters) above the ground – collapses, not only will it cause a shutdown of all six reactors but will also affect the common spent fuel pool containing 6,375 fuel rods, located some 50 meters from reactor 4,”

It is a critical condition when the radioactive rods are not protected by a containment vessel; dangerously, they are open to the air. This would certainly cause a global catastrophe like we have never before experienced.

Matsumura in no uncertain terms is asking for help ,something the Japanese find hard to do. They need US engineers now.

Can We Survive Another World War ?

The answer is no, we can not survive another World War. Everyone knows this. Still the posturing and chest pounding persist. Still we work on bigger and better bombs and faster delivery. It won’t take too many modern thermonuclear weapons to completely poison the atmosphere. We are at a time in our evolution where we could all be happy and productive. We can stop starvation and we can find answers for all the inequality in the world, but once the first bomb is fired all bets are off. Remember the last world war ? It was treacherous and devastating and only came to an end once the first Nukes were fired. Now Nine nations posses bombs that make the first nukes look like firecrackers. Every great thinker on the planet should be addressing the issue of our survival. We need an Einstein of Peace. The tension between Iran, US , Israel, Syria, Russia and China has never been greater. Still the potential for an answer has never been greater. Imagine what we could do if we all worked together.

China Finds Massive Nuclear Contamination In Pacific Ocean

How the Nuclear Water Flowed into the Pacific Ocean

China has discovered massive nuclear contamination in the Pacific Ocean. This radiation is a direct result of the Fukushima disaster and far wider than originally reported by the Japanese government.

China has discovered an area about the size of Montana is irradiated. An area of roughly 100,000 square miles of Pacific Ocean waters, at distances up to 800 kilometers from Fukushima, is contaminated with radiation levels up to 300 times normal and Strontium radiation levels up to 100 times normal. China goes on to say that its State Oceanic Administration has found high levels of radioactive contamination throughout Pacific Ocean. China’s State Oceanic Administration said the tests show that the polluted area is far wider than the areas released by the Japanese government. The fear is that with a half life of 35 years this pollution may effect the food supply for years to come.

Why Is Germany Shipping Nuclear Waste To The United States ?

Why in the world is the US accepting Nuclear Waste from other countries ? Has everyone simply forgot Fukushima ?

1,000 tons of nuclear waste from Germany is being shipped to the city of Oak Ridge, Tenn. The Nuclear Regulatory Commission approved a plan for an American company to import and burn nuclear waste from Germany. Why is anyone allowing these public safety risks to be taken ? The newest reports of radioactivity in Japan are forcing many huge companies to close down. Shouldn’t some lessons be learned about our inability to adequately control and maintain nuclear facilities ? Isn’t this just inviting disaster on a massive scale ?

Greek Company Announces Miraculous New Energy Source

Today marks perhaps the dawning of a New Age in World Energy Technology. In the wake of recent nuclear disasters it has become apparent that COLD FUSION is the real answer to our energy needs. It offers huge amounts of energy and not all the risks of leaking radiation and melt down. Thanks to Andrea Rossi’s E-Cat (Energy Catalyzer) cold fusion technology the future is knocking on our door.
By combining nickel powder, hydrogen gas, an undisclosed catalyst, heat, and pressure it produces massive amounts of energy. Could this save the Greek economy ? Could this save the World Economy ? Major technological developments have usually christened grand times of invention and prosperity. Cold fusion has been in the works for centuries. The E-Cat seems to be the first commercially work-able model.

Strange Gigantic Spiral Storm Forming off the Coast of California

A huge spiral storm is sitting off the coast of California today June 4,2011.  The big question is where did it come from?  With the huge changes we’ve seen in the normal ocean currents could this storm be carrying radioactivity from Fukushima ?

How Could Radiation from Japan Effect the Body ?

As things begin to settle down a bit at the Fukushima Nuclear Plant, we have to wonder how much of the ocean has been contaminated and what effect this will have on fish and other marine life. The nuclear plant’s operators are now using fresh water to cool the reactor but radiation is still leaking. Luckily most of the radiation that is leaking has a short half-life and will dissipate within a ten day period. The unanswered question is how this contamination will effect the ocean and the food it provides to people.
Workers are fighting to stabilize a third reactor at a the Japanese nuclear plant. They have restored power and are now pumping freshwater in to cool the rods. The latest hydrogen blast injured 11 people. It was felt 20 miles away and sent a towering column of smoke into the air. The outer building around the reactor was mostly destroyed. But as of now, Tokyo Electric Power Company (Tepco) said the containment walls shielding the reactor cores remained intact. It also said Radiation levels had shot up in drinking water but dropped again . Evacuation plans have expanded. The company revealed that the fuel rods inside had been exposed fully at one point, for about two-and-a-half hours. The company is now trying to inject fresh water into the reactor to cover the fuel rods, cool them down and prevent another explosion.
The most dangerous aspect of this tragedy from a global perspective seems to be the potential for the radiation to easily spread and contaminate the oceans. Radiation mainly effects the gastro-intestinal system, thyroid and bone marrow. So far the only people in danger are those in close proximity to the reactor. The US Embassy is giving out Iodide tablets to protect the thyroid.

UN Predicts Radiation Could Drift to US By Friday

The worst fears of those watching the Japanese Nuclear Crisis in the US seem to be coming true. According to monitoring sources at the UN, radiation spewing from uncontrollable nuclear reactors in Japan, could begin reaching California as early as Friday. The good news is that these levels of radiation will not be anywhere near harmful. The real danger is the 50 miles around the burning reactors. This area could be rendered permanently contaminated. Clouds of radiation drifting across the sea will be dissipated and weak by the time they get here. The disaster seems to be escalating hourly with President Obama ordering the evacuation of US citizens from Japan and actually sending planes for private citizens. Russia has also ordered evacuation of territories closest to Japan.

The big difference between the Japan and Chernobyl nuclear disasters is that reactors at Chernobyl had no containment walls. As reactors at Chernobyl began to melt, radioactive material was shot 30,000 feet in the air. Japanese radiation is being spread by ground winds. Some of the Japanese reactors use a dirtier fuel called Mox which uses Plutonium instead of Uranium. Americans are stocking up on Iodide pills , which prevent Thyroid Cancer. No one seems to have addressed the possibility of sea life contamination. The Pacific Ocean around the reactors will be getting a lot of radioactive dust, which will be absorbed by plants and fish. As with Chernobyl, contamination of the food supply is a major concern. As we get more and more technologically advanced the world gets smaller and smaller.

What Would Happen if the Japanese Nuclear Reactor Suffered A Meltdown ?

We have watched a nuclear reactor melt down before in Chernobyl. The results were devastating.
Land , plants , animals , and everything else was contaminated with radiation. The area of contamination was huge. The big difference is that Japan’s nuclear reactor is located on the ocean. How the spread of radiation through the oceans would affect life on earth is unknown. Let’s hope we never find out.
