@togaida If I recall correctly, Barnum wasn’t charging to see the egress. But he had? a problem with too many people moving too slow, standing around too long to galk at the exhibits, making it harder for others to get in. So he put up the sign “This way to the Egress” knowing people would think it’s another exhibit and they’d be out before they realized it wasn’t.

@tanahoy138 Our physiology cannot sustain anymore? trauma than it can stand now…if stress can cause headaches/migranes…supernatural powers has got to be a painful *****. too much fire burns, the same as too much cold, too much light is as blinding as darkest night. telepathy, telekenetics, psychics and mediums are a lot of trauma on the brain/mind as it would be to the body if done everything physically (hands on) when we can walk into space without protection…then we’d be powerful.

Are you a psychic who wants to rob people blind wth no compunction to their needs? let me show you an example of psychic powers look up: montel williams psychic fail, here on youtube. despite what happened the law says the “psychic” did? nothing wrong, in the court of public opinion she’s morally guilty and should get the moral electric chair.

@wrjamescom yeah, you’re right. my best story of Barnum, which is the very definition of ” a sucker born every minute” and the basis of all money making cons such as psychics and mediums. Barnum charged $1.00 to see the Egress beyond a door, and a whole lot of people did…only to find themselves outside the rear and learning “egress” meant exit in latin. ?

@togaida Yep. Barnum was not an honest person, but he wasn’t that sleazy either. He used tricks and fakes, but it was show business, and like “wrasslin’” virtually everyone knows it’s fake but pay to be entertained. The? “psychic” frauds like Browne and faith healers have no excuse, they bilk suckers who are desperate. They are truly despicable wastes of flesh.

@k0smon I became an expert when I was studying sociology and a “psychic”? asked me to be an apprentice to prove psychic powers exists; in the six weeks i tried to, all I witnessed, from 7 so called psychics well known in the respective towns, were instructions that amounted to actual slight of hand tricks, they took money from senior citizens, with no compunctions to their fixed income. I proved it to the victims and was cursed…in the form of a lawsuit, all 7 lost & had to pay my court costs.

@madJedi1 psychics don’t? exist…just grifters posing as such. All people claiming they have such powers are based on “seeing you coming a mile away” so to speak, they know you would be the one to fool, experience helps them pick their victim. I bet the “poor” psychics you know had fooled one too many people and it came back to bite them in the ass, and they paid, harshly that they don’t do it anymore but for parlor tricks…tell me, do they have an affliction, bad leg, bad arm, one eye, etc?

Barnums business successes/legacies which are based on the famous phrase: “There is a sucker born every minute.” this is the basis? for capitalism/profit, which is fine but not good when stealing peoples money…legally, not morally.

@togaida The scammers advertise on TV? and the radio wanting suckers to call them. If they really had such powers would they just call the suckers? I’d be impressed if one called me, already knowing my question, and after giving a correct answer, didn’t ask for a credit card number because they already knew it.
